OLES JSC SUPPLY CABLE LAYING EQUIPMENT FOR WIND FARM

OLES JSC SUPPLY CABLE LAYING EQUIPMENT FOR WIND FARM

So far, many countries have set offshore wind power development targets from 2020 to 2030. For example, China from 9 GW to 50 GW, India from 5 GW to 30 GW, South Korea from 0.145 GW. to 12 GW, Japan from 0.62 MW to 10 GW. Thus, the prospect of offshore wind power development until 2030 belongs to countries in Asia, including Vietnam.

According to some studies, Vietnam has great potential for wind power in general and offshore wind power in particular. For example, according to a study by the World Bank (WB), Vietnam’s offshore wind power has a technical potential of about 475 GW or according to a report by the Danish Energy Agency, this number reaches about 162 GW.

The calculation of the World Bank Group also shows that, if Vietnam develops offshore wind power with a total capacity of 10 GW in 2030, 25 GW in 2035, 40 GW in 2040 and 70 GW in 2050 – corresponding to the percentage of electricity supply of 5%, 12%, 17% and 27%, Vietnam can achieve some results that are cumulative until 2035 adding 50 billion USD to the economy (including exports), creating 700,000 new jobs a year, attracting USD 500 million in investment capital, avoiding emissions of more than 217 million tons of CO2, a localization rate of 60%, and a very important factor in the cost of conductive electricity (LCOE). ) is 83 USD/mWh in 2030 and 62 USD/mWh in 2035, when 203 TWh is produced.

However, the World Bank Group also said that, in order to attract the attention of investors, financial institutions and manufacturers in the world to develop offshore wind power in Vietnam, the size of the market must be large. schools with large enough goals, clear roadmap, appropriate policies.

Realizing the great potential of offshore wind power, Offshore Lifting Equipment Joint Stock Company (OLES JSC) has cooperated with Marine Energy Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company to invest in a dedicated barge system for this project. installation of power poles and wind turbines, the most difficult item in the bidding packages for offshore wind power projects.

To install the tower with a mass of 100 tons each, the main turbine with a mass of 120 tons with a height of 140 meters above sea level requires the barge to be installed with a specialized crane system of 1200 tons. Installing and safely operating a 1200 tons crane system on shore is difficult, it is even more difficult to install it on the barge and work at sea with stormy conditions. With the requirement that the barge must be fixed and not moved during the installation process while the construction period is long, the tides rise and fall, requiring the barge to have a system of specialized equipment.

Meeting the requirements of the investor, Offshore Lifting Equipment Joint Stock Company (OLES JSC) has calculated, designed and provided a 4-pillar lifting system for the barge, also known as a synchronous barge leg lifting system with 4-point anchor winch system with the following specifications:

1.4 Points mooring winch:

  • Line pull: 20 tons
  • Speed: 15-20 m/min
  • Capacity: 450-600 meters wire rope D32-38mm
  • Anchor: Supper Delta
  • Including Sheave for wire rope
  • Electric hydraulic power unit. One working, one standby
  • Load monitor, speed, length control system
  • Local control and remote control

2. Mooring winch:
