OLES JSC PROVIDES 30 TONS HYDRAULIC WIND SYSTEM TO OFFSHORE SERVICES JOINT STOCK COMPANY (POS)

Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet Field (SVDN) (Block 05-1b and 05-1c) is located in deep water area, offshore, complex geological conditions (high temperature, high pressure) of Nam Con Son Basin on the continental shelf of Vietnam, about 300km from the coast of Vung Tau to the Southeast, the level depth of sea is from 110 – 130m. On August 4, 2016, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1550/QD-TTg approving the oil and gas resources of SVDN, as the basis for the field development. On March 7, 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 706/QD-BCT approving the Outline Development Plan (ODP). On December 11, 2017, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1996/QD-TTg approving the Field Development Plan (FDP). Accordingly, SVDN Field (Block 05-1b and 05-1c) is expected to start exploiting the first commercial oil and gas flow in the third quarter of 2020.

With the strict requirements from the project as well as the complexity of the installation at the offshore, therefore, the selection of the contractor to provide equipment for “Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet” in general and lifting equipment for offshore installation in particular is especially important. Overcoming a wide range of foreign suppliers as well as domestic contractors, Offshore Lifting Equipment Joint Stock Company (OLES JSC) has won the tender package to provide 30T hydraulic winch system specialized on launching the base and supply 30T hydraulic winch system specialized on offshore installations.

After the successful implementation of launching the base of “Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet” Rig, OLES JSC continues to receive the credit from the general contractor – POS for 30T winch system to serve the installation process at the offshore.
